i am uninvested

in this ordered anarchy​

 

the heart cannot know

what the mind cannot

pinpoint

​

​the heart cannot absolve

what the mind cannot

resolve​

 

while the mind proves to be

more and more and evermore

complicit

 

in the slow dissolution ​

of clarity

 

in the foregone eviction ​

of sanity

 

in the hasty evacuation ​

of time

 

as the mind ultimately acquiesces ​

to desire​ 

 

so too the heart abdicates​

and retreats to its​

​

silent

inner

knowing

​
