Alone In The Uncrowded

1 /
Alone in the uncrowded
Quiet of the dusk

Vast in its stillness
Bountiful in its emptiness
Tranquil in its surrender

A granted moment

A song without voice
A parable without words

2 /

Night stretches farther
Than any tedious daylight

An approaching day
And its smallish frights
Cursory motors whispering
Their rumbling presence
Careful gatherings
Nimble incursions
The levy of living
In this blurred tomorrow

3 /

Somewhere tucked away
In a burrow of hiding
The natural remains
The elemental heart
The muddy primitive

Granular fragments
Of hominid type thinking

Whatever could not be hypnotized

Epochs after the fall
You will crawl out of your burrow
To begin anew
With your vacated hands
